About 'Hare Trinity'
The Three Hares, or Hare Trinity is made up of three hares, chasing each other in a circle. Each hare has only one ear but borrows from the next, creating the illusion that each has two.
The Hare Trinity is an ancient symbol, the origins of which are lost in time. It can be found from China to the Middle East, Europe and Britain. It is believed to have links with fertility and the moon cycle in paganism but also appears in Christian churches, where it is believed to symbolise the Trinity.
My Hare Trinity is a celebration of the hidden magic of our ancient land, as the three hares chase each other against a backdrop of four seasonal depictions of the Tree of Life.
It is a perfect image for anyone who loves hares, or folklore, or who follows a traditional or magical path.
